In 2007, Sawit Kinabalu Group launched its first refinery complex namely Kunak Refinery Complex with a move to go further downstream in line with the Group’s Vision and Development Thrust (Halatuju) of the State Government of Sabah. Kunak Refinery Complex comprises of a physical refinery and fractionation plant with a processing capacity of 1500MT / day of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and 400MT / day kernel crushing plant.
The products from the refinery complex are:
- Refined Bleached Deodorized (RBD) Palm Oil
- RBD Palm Olein
- RBD Palm Strearin
- Palm Kernel Oil
- Palm Fatty Acid Distilled (RFAD)
- Palm Kernel Expeller
These products are used to produce edible and non- edible commodities such as vanaspati, shortenings, cooking oils, margarine, soap and animal feed.
