SPU also produce premium seeds for sale, namely Sawit Kinabalu D x P planting materials. It is characterized by its high yield and high oil extraction rate. The capacity of the seed production is 5 million annualy and our quality planting materials are certifeid by SIRIM and licensed by the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB).
Currently SPU is supplying seeds to custmers both within and outside the country. The vast collections of germplasms from Sabah Breeding Program and MPOB has enable SPU to produce various types of seeds in accordance to custmers’ demand. Sawit Kinabalu Seeds Sdn Bhd is located in Apas Balung, Tawau. Seeds Production Unit, SPU is capable of producing 6 Million oil palm superior DxP germinated seeds per annum. The quality of seed is assured and certified by both SIRIM and MPOB. SPU obtained MS ISO 9001 : 2000 since August 2006.
